I came in for what was supposed to be a small filling, and during the procedure the dentist ended up fracturing my entire tooth. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that this was “normal,” which I found completely unacceptable given the extent of what happened. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated afterward. The dentist was condescending and dismissive rather than taking responsibility or showing any genuine concern. I even asked about getting a refund, and they refused to refund me despite the fact that I came in for a minor procedure and left with a seriously damaged tooth. Unfortunately, the poor experience wasn't limited to the dentist. The entire staff lacked basic customer service skills and made an already stressful situation even more frustrating. I expected professionalism, compassion, and accountability, and I received none of those things. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before allowing this office to perform any dental work. I regret choosing this practice and will not be returning.

I was at LaClair Family oDental this morning to have two fillings repaired.. I am 71 years old, have gone to four different dentists in my life, and was happy with all of them, but I have never had a more gentle and painless experience in the dentist’s chair than I had today. Dr. Rob softly explained what he was going to do, gave me a verbal hand signal that I could use if in distress, and then went on to repair the fillings. He softly commented as he worked along, letting me know where we were in the process and checking on how I was doing. I should also comment on his very friendly, personable , and capable technician — she and he worked together seamlessly and my whole experience was as pleasant as a dental visit could be. I highly recommend LaClair Family Dental of Carthage.

I tried scheduling my daughter an appointment due to a referral that sent her here. When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was kind, and told me she would call the pediatric dentist to receive xrays and would get back to me as soon as received. Several months went by and never received a follow up. At my daughter’s next check up she still needed to be seen so I called LaClair again. They told me my daughter was already in the system so it should be no problem and that they would get the xrays and call me back for an appointment (this was back in February). I’ve called multiple times, left multiple voicemails, and have had zero answers or callbacks. It is now June (a year since the first referral) and still nothing. I’ve finally decided they aren’t worth the effort. Highly unprofessional. If you are not taking on new patients say so and be clear. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I’m usually nervous about going to the dentist, but LaClair Family Dental made it such a great experience! The staff were super kind and patient, and I didn’t feel scared at all. I’m so happy I found this place. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for quality care.

I came here bc of the amazing word of mouth recommendations. Did not disappoint. I came here for almost 4 years and always had a phenomenal experience. Friendly staff, great cleanings, smooth scheduling. All in all amazing. Would highly recommend!
