Northwest Family Dental Care

I have been a patient of this clinic for 3+ years. It was recommended to me by a trusted person, and I have also recommended it to multiple people. I have gotten both general dentistry and orthodontic care. And I was very happy with their service, clinic and staff until my last visit. My regular doctor, Dr. Amanda Jackson (the only female doctor in their practice) left the clinic. They did not bother to inform me of this before my appointment. I got to my appointment and the whole front staff has also changed, not a single face I recognized from the last 3 years. I got told I will be seen by a different hygienist than the hygienist I had booked AND a different doctor since my doctor no longer works there. When I asked to be seen by my regular hygienist at least since I would already have to see someone different as a doctor, I was informed that in order to see the hygienist I had booked an appointment with, I'd have to come back next week as she was already seeing another patient. I explained that I had driven 45 minutes for my appointment and it was already distressing to see a different doctor that I was not prepared to see. Their response was that since I had not specified in my file that I preferred to see my regular hygienist they could assign me to anyone. The front staff seemed unconcerned and uncaring about my obvious discomfort with the unplanned changes to my visit that they had failed to inform me ahead. The new hygienist was a lovely lady, and did a decent job but seemed very new and scared to "get in there" and do a proper cleaning. The new doctor popped into the room, during the middle of my cleaning, interrupting the hygienist. I have no idea what his name is as he didn't introduce himself. He had a quick look into my mouth, didn't find any issues and left. The whole interaction lasted a few minutes at most. I was left very disappointed after years of being a patient. The whole experience felt very cold and corporate-like. I am not sure if the clinic got bought out or what led to the change in staff, but it changed the whole atmosphere and experience for me. If anyone knows where Dr. Jackson has moved to, please let me know as I asked the front staff before leaving and they did not want to provide that information.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I really wanted to after my visit. I honestly noticed a huge difference as soon as I walked in. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and actually took the time to help me instead of making me feel rushed. They even offered me a sparkling water while I waited, which was such a sweet touch. I went in for my cleaning, and Dr. Nathan was amazing. He was kind, gentle, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. For the first time in a long time, I actually left the dentist feeling good about the whole experience. I'm so happy I gave them another chance, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends.

What happened to the well run office, personal and professional dentist, hygienists, and front desk staff? This place took a nose dive recently and we are definitely looking for a new dentist. Communication is a disaster, paperwork is messed up, my husband showed up for his appointment and the doors were locked because everyone was late, the dentist barely introduced himself to me and didn't ask if I had any questions (I did). So disappointed in all aspects of the new changes. Do not recommend.

I have been going to Northwest Family Dental Care for many years and I was so hopeful that I would continue to get the same great service and genuine warmth from the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist. When I walked in for my appointment, I recognised no one from previous appointments, but they were kind and took care of my details in checking in. The hygienist was quiet but efficient. The major disappointment was the interaction with the dentist. He came in quickly, said his name and went to work assessing my teeth. I don’t think I could pick him out in a crowd; I never saw his face. There were no friendly questions or conversation as such. Overall, while the service was satisfactory, I am thinking it may be time to switch to an office a little closer to home.

Place is going down. Friendliness is out the window now they have cameras up watching you. You don’t even know who your provider will be, you’re just a number. This isn’t the place it was. Definitely try other places first.

Gave 2 stars because this used to be a wonderful place for the last 2 years then everything went significantly down hill on my last visit. I used to come here all the way from Graham because its difficult to find a great dentist and it was absolutely worth the drive. However, there were some major concerns on my last visit. These are the nightmare stories that make people not want to go to the dentist. -They lost my file then blamed it on a "new system" and without confirming what tooth they were working on they started FILLING a tooth that DIDNT HAVE A CAVITY. I had one apt left with them for a filling on one of my front two teeth on the top row(believe tooth 12 or 13) and they worked on one next to my mular in the back. That has never been reported as a tooth with any issues in my life. By the time they numbed me and I realized it was to late for them to stop. - Had issues with their tools, specifically one of them that disperses water and were messing with that forever instead of just switching to many of the other open chairs. - My regular dentist left so some random guy shows up for it and I still to this day dont know his name because he never introduced himself. And seems that most of the regular staff left as well because I didnt recognize the receptionist or anyone except for the dental assist. As to which seemed like she was trying to suction my whole tongue out of my mouth and made the roof of my mouth raw. - Also attempted to charge me twice after I had already paid for the filling ahead of time. And again when I was paying prior to the apt they did not confirm which tooth was getting worked on that day, then couldnt find any record of it. Im not sure if its new owners and management changed or what but it truly was a disaster.
