Poway Modern Dentistry: Office of Dr. Viet Q. Nguyen

My long time dentist retired and I’m a nervous wreck about dentists based on some rough childhood experiences. Dr. Nguyen was recommended by friends and I’ve had several appointments with him at this point. There was some major work I’d been putting off and now I’m about halfway through it, so enough to have formed an opinion. First, I appreciated the thorough cleaning with extra TLC from hygienist Lori. She knows her stuff! Second, Dr. Nguyen took the time to have a sit down discussion with me about the full scope of work indicated, without pressuring me, and encouraged me to get other opinions because he was a new provider to me and delivering the bad news. However, I already knew most of what I’d been avoiding and came up with a plan to stage the work over time in the way that would give me the best results. Third, I was impressed that the chair side assistants seem to read his mind as he works. I am especially appreciative that everyone is kind about my nerves and tries to keep me comfortable, including smiling through my nervous chatter before and after treatment. I’m definitely building trust with each encounter and glad I found this practice. I recommend them if you are in need of care.

Lori is wonderful to see every 6 months for my teeth cleaning. Staff is always friendly and helpful if you need to move your schedule around at the last minute. Doctor V is on top of everything and explains everything you need to be aware of.

From the second I walked in, I was greeted w kindness.. The financial coordinator was super sweet.. I had 4 crowns done today! It was an excellent experience.. Doctor and his assistant were so gentle! I'm going back for more 🦷🤷‍♀️👍

I just got 2 crowns that were placed on implants by Dr. Nguyen. I was kind of nervous going into this, but I got talking with Dr. Viet, and turns out he went to USC just like my son did, so we had something in common. And he was very personable and helped me feel at ease. The procedure took a while, but he explained every step of the process. I had virtually no pain during or after the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Viet Ngyun for anyone that is on the fence about where to go for dental work.

Dr. Nguyen is by far the best dentist I've ever had work on my teeth. I have had many dental issues over the years, and there is nobody I would trust more. He is extremely kind and patient, explaining everything in as much detail as necessary to make you feel comfortable and informed. Lori is the absolute BEST hygienist you will ever meet anywhere, and she is truly the kindest human. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen and his outstanding team!

I’ve been going to Poway Modern Dentistry for years! Dr. Nguyen is great and very knowledgeable and patient to explain everything. Lori has been my Hygienist for many years. She also takes care of my family. We all trust Poway modern with our smile!

I always have the best experience when going to Poway modern dentistry. I may be one of the weirdos out there, but I absolutely love going and getting my teeth cleaned. It’s a true point of relaxation in my day. Dr. Nguyen is always so attentive when treatments are necessary. He’s very good at explaining what’s going on and why I need Are the pictures sucks treatment.

I had a great experience at Poway Modern Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen treated two cavities and completed onlays, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. He was professional, patient, and genuinely caring, which made a big difference. The work itself is excellent. You honestly can't tell I had anything done. Everything looks and feels completely natural. I really appreciate the attention to detail and would absolutely recommend Dr. Nguyen and this office.
