Klement Family Dental

I’ve been going to Klement for a couple years now. Wonderful experience every time. The front desk staff are friendly. The hygienists are gentle. The dentists are knowledgeable. A few weeks ago, my mom was in town visiting and her wisdom tooth cracked on a Friday night. Despite my mom not being an established patient at Klement, they had the tooth extracted by Saturday morning. They take good care of everyone in a timely manner and manage apts to be able to fit in emergencies when they arise, which is always appreciated.

Just recently moved from Minnesota and set upon finding the best dentist in St Petersburg. I found her in Dr Simmons. She has performed some pretty advanced work today on my teeth in the last two months. I am very pleased with how the procedures went and with the outcomes. She has a delightful personality as well which makes things go easier for me as a patient. Her technician Morgan was also very, very good.

Lisa is the best receptionist ever...always gives a welcoming greeting and makes you feel you are in capable hands. I have been a client with Klement Family Dental for over 10 years. Lisa has never failed to be a kind and welcoming staff member to anyone who enters the practice. Today I had Emily E. as my hygienist and she too was kind, respectful and sensitive to my dental needs. I walked away with not only a clean mouth and well cleaned teeth, but no discomfort at all!! She was wonderful. Dr. Kristen Oldham is my primary dentist, a Klement family member, who always exhibits professionalism and dental knowledge whether during a dental emergency or crown procedure or an annual xray/computer generated visual imaging review of my teeth. I feel blessed to have these dental professionals providing me years of outstanding service. As a former school teacher, I was thrilled when I discovered the wide variety of days and hours offered. Klement Dental just can't be beat across the board!!!

I had such a good experience today at my cleaning. I’ve been going here for several years now and today had Malina who did just a great job. She was kind and very thorough with my teeth. She always checked to make sure I was doing alright. The reception here at this office is always so friendly as well - greeting me every time I walk in. This place makes me feel very comfortable and I think they are all doing a great job!

The hygienist and doctors were kind, professional, and took good care of me and my husband. I have no complaints about the actual dental care I received. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office and billing was frustrating. Before my appointment, I completed the online pre-check-in and indicated that I was pregnant and how many weeks I was. When I arrived, I was told they had no idea I was pregnant and that my appointment would need to be rescheduled because they needed authorization from my OB-GYN causing me immediate stress. I asked the lady if they could contact my doctor and after waiting about 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment, they were finally able to contact my OB-GYN and obtain the authorization, so I was able to be seen that day. While I’m grateful they made it work, this situation could have been avoided if the information I provided during pre-check-in had been reviewed beforehand. Instead, I was left feeling as though I hadn’t communicated it, had to wait well past my appointment time, and ended up having to take the rest of the day off work when I otherwise could have gone back. My biggest concern, however, was the billing. Before my appointment, I called multiple times to verify whether there would be any charges beyond my copays. I completely understood and expected to pay my copays, but each time I was reassured that, after verifying my insurance, I would not owe anything else out of pocket. In fact, someone from the office called me the week before my appointment specifically to confirm that my insurance had been checked and that I would not have any additional costs. About a month later, I received a bill. When I called to ask why, I was simply told that sometimes insurance doesn’t cover everything and they weren’t sure what happened. I understand that there are things patients are responsible, but after making multiple calls specifically to avoid unexpected charges, I expected more accurate information and clearer communication. Instead, I ended up with surprise charges despite doing everything I could to verify the costs ahead of time. Overall, the clinical staff provided great care, but the check-in process and billing communication need improvement.

I cannot say enough great things about Klement Family Dental. Everyone you encounter during your visit is so incredibly friendly, caring and helpful. Dr. Ullrich is the best! He is the most kind and supportive dentist I’ve ever seen.

Lisa the receptionist the gold standard for receptionists / office manager! Always recognizes each person who walks through the door and has a way of making you feel special. This place must see hundreds of patients a day and definitely has a system for it. Hygienist and assistants are helpful and doctors do their due diligence. Professional care, just wish there were more options for appointments. Perhaps they have too many patients and should consider having a limit or opening another facility or expanding in some way shape or form. Overall, happy to have a reliable dental office.

Just went to my first appointment and already love them. This was the most thorough dental cleaning I have ever had. The staff was very knowledgeable and kept me updated on everything. Also love the flexible hours so I don’t have to miss work. Seems like employees are treated well. Overall great experience
