The Smilist Dental - Syosset

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Smilist Dental in Syosset! My whole family absolutely loves this place. Every staff member is kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The doctors and staff are incredibly attentive, thorough, and thoughtful. They make you feel completely safe and at home, and you can tell that everyone does their job with intention and care. Val and Lisa at the front desk are extraordinary!! Go there and you’ll see! For me personally, this experience has been life-changing. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 20 years and was dealing with significant dental challenges. I was honestly afraid to go because I was worried about being judged. From the very beginning, they made me feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged. There was absolutely no judgment—just compassion and a genuine desire to help. I’m actually excited to continue working with them to improve my dental health, which I never imagined I would say after avoiding the dentist for so long! They have somehow brought together a team of amazing humans, and I’m so grateful I found them. I highly recommend Smilist to anyone looking for exceptional dental care from people who truly care about their patients

Dr Gent was very thorough and explaining what was going on with the tooth I was having pain in. He was also quite thoughtful when he stepped away for a moment he actually moved the light away from me so wouldn't be in my eyes. Lisa was wonderful she went above and beyond. She did a thorough search to try to get me in with the endodontist that comes to the smallest office but the schedules weren't good. She went so far as to reach out to an endodontist in the area and was able to help me get an appointment I can't say enough about Lisa and the office it was a wonderful experience.

The staff n Doctor couldn't be more friendly and caring..I wasn't sure what the outcome was with my broken tooth. They took me as a emergency patient when they were closing. Explained to me in detail everything...if you need a dentist please try them first you won't be disappointed at all

Came in for my first 6-month cleaning and exam — super happy with the experience. Front desk staff were really friendly and welcoming. I brought x-rays from my last dentist, so no need to redo them. Jennifer, the hygienist, was awesome — my teeth felt super clean, and she explained why I had sensitivity in a few spots. The dentist was also great (wish I remembered her name!). Definitely glad I found this place.

I recently had dental work done with Dr. Elstein, and it was a wonderful experience. She is very kind, caring, and takes the time to listen and explain everything she’s doing. Her gentle approach made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire treatment. Her assistant, Jennifer, was also amazing—kind, respectful, and an excellent communicator. Together, they made my dental visit truly pleasant and stress-free.
